Co-Scholastic activities are an integral part of the life of a student at G. Holy Heart Public School. A whole gamut of co-scholastic and personality development activities at our school provides every child with a ‘stage’ where they can gain the ‘confidence to outshine’. Our aim is to provide a proper environment for the all-round development of child. There are interesting range of activities outside lessons which help to develop the overall personality of the children. These are much more than mere recreational activities; they provide important directions to a student on his/her journey to self-discovery. These activities hone the softer skills, the aesthetic senses, design consciousness, sensitivity of feelings, dignity of labour, team work, and link the physical skills to the mind and to the emotion. All children are actively encouraged to participate in these extracurricular activities organized for them. Moreover, the co-curricular activities of today could form the bedrock of career options of tomorrow.

Our leadership programs are rooted in a strong commitment to support students in their ongoing development as leaders. We inculcate leadership qualities in the students, by allowing them to take the lead in various activities and projects. We have various committees, such as School Senate, Student Discipline Committee, Assembly Committee, House Committee and Events Committee which are led by students and provide them with an initial grounding in leading others.

Fostering Responsibility and Discipline

Bringing out the leader in every child is a constant effort at our school. Through examples and encouragement, the qualities of leadership, responsibility and discipline are nurtured amongst the children. Discipline is all about self-management which is inculcated by embedding sound traditional values and social sense. In addition to self-discipline, the sense of discipline in life is reinforced by encouraging children to take on various responsibilities and leadership roles throughout the school.

Values Inculcation

At our school, scholastic excellence goes hand in hand with character building. A strong emphasis on values and knowledge of our rich and varied culture blended with an entirely global approach to education ensures a holistic development of young minds. Further, the school celebrates most festivals in the traditional way which develops an appreciation for diverse cultures and inculcates sound moral values by imbibing the best of all cultures and religions. In addition, students are encouraged to take initiative, be original, honest, to believe in themselves and to work independently and honestly.

House System

All the children are assigned houses and within the houses the senior students are expected to accept considerable responsibility. To nurture special talent in students, various competitions in games and co-curricular activities are held on house basis.

Educational and Recreational Outings

Various learning and fun meet picnics, outings and educational tours are regularly organized for the students. Such informal events and outings introduce the Holy Heartians to a multi-dimensional life outside the school. Picnics and excursions to places of historical & scientific interest provide a first-hand exposure that supplements what is taught in the classroom.

Annual Day & Carnivals

Cultural Programmes, Exhibitions and Fun-filled Games are organized regularly. They are creatively designed, encouraging 100% participation of children and parents. These events aren’t just a celebration, but also develop planning, organization and team effort abilities in the students. The gracious presence of distinguished personalities always inspires our students to even greater heights of achievement.
